Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional braking System on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle and starting on the vehicle side you're gonna have the base plate and that's gonna attach to the frame or the structural support of the vehicle allowing an attachment point not only for our towbar but for all the rest of our components. And that leads us to the towbar which is gonna be the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now also attached to the base plate is gonna be where our safety cables go and that's just gonna make sure in case of a disconnect we're still attached to our RV. We also have our diode wiring which is gonna transmit the light signals from the RV to the towed vehicle, including your running lights, brake lights and turn signals and that way people behind you know what you're doing. You also have your supplemental braking system and that way the vehicle slows and stops when you apply the brakes on the RV. more

The whole point of a brake light relay is allow all your lighting functions to operate correctly. And with these trucks, if you don't use a brake light relay, let's say if you're at a stop sign, making a left turn, without a brake light relay, the motor home's brake signal would override the turn signal. So for example, you would have the motor home as it is with the brake light on the right, left turn signal flashing. more

So if you have a 2020 or newer Tiffen motorhome with factory installed air brakes, your motorhome already has the capability of supplying air pressure for a flat towed vehicle. So this kit is going to install on your vehicle. It's going to allow it to receive that air pressure from your motorhome so that it can apply the brakes as it's being flat towed. This is just part of the full Demco Co Air Force One kit but because you already have the components on your RV, you don't need to pay for the full kit. more

Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System on a 2022 Chevrolet Spark. Now your braking system is gonna allow the vehicle to slow and stop as the RV goes down the road, but also you're gonna have a breakaway switch here. And that way if the car does become detached from all of your towbar and safety cables, it's gonna pull our cable and that's gonna allow those brakes to apply on the vehicle and then bring it to a stop. Now the InvisiBrake is pretty nice because your box will be mounted inside allowing you to adjust the pressure on the cylinder, and the rest of the cylinder lives up to the name InvisiBrake. So it actually hides kind of in the floorboard and it does make for a little bit trickier of an install, but overall it looks really cleaned once it's installed. more

Here you can see the cylinder where when activated, it will pull your brake pedal towards the firewall. It is tethered to the firewall and the unit that is located under the hood is a pump that will actually pressurize the cylinder to activate it. more

This is gonna be a very easy way to get your vehicle set up to be flat towed. Of course, a braking system is only one of the components that you're gonna need to flat tow your vehicle, but, comparing this to permanently installed breaking systems, this is gonna be much easier to get installed and it's going to provide some other benefits as well that we'll go over here in a moment. So, to get this installed, or set up in your vehicle, we'll just take the actuator box here, sit it on the floor in front of your driver's seat, the adjustable feet on the bottom will accommodate your uneven floorboards, so you can get that all leveled out. The back of the unit can also be raised or lowered so that the unit can sit snugly against the front of your driver's seat to provide the support it needs, and then just tighten down in place, whenever you get it where it needs to be. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today in your 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Air Force One supplemental braking system with the Coachlink wireless feedback. Demco's Coachlink will take your braking system to the next level by giving you a wireless receiver inside of your motorhome that's gonna give you real-time feedback of when the brake pedal is being applied from your braking system. With the traditional Demco-style braking systems, you do get a monitor light included that will go on the back side of your mirror on the dash so that way you can see it in your rear view camera. But depending on your motorhome, you might not have a camera at the top or where your camera's pointed for backing up, it just may not be suitable for where the monitor light's located, and maybe the monitor that you have just isn't the clearest monitor. So you may still have to be aimed right at it, just really can't tell that it's coming on. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today in your 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Air Force One supplemental braking system. So we're here in our motorhome and when we press the brakes here in our motorhome, you'll see the pedal inside the vehicle will apply as well. And it's going to match the amount of pressure that I apply here on the pedal. So if we hit the brakes here, air pressure is now sent to the back to apply the brakes on the vehicle. And also on the back side of the mirror, you'll see our light illuminate. more

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System on a 2022 Ford Maverick. Now this kit is gonna be available in two different configurations. They're gonna install the same but really you're just choosing between the wireless coachlink and the LED indicator light. And one of them is just gonna let you know when you have your lights on by using an LED signal that you mount on the vehicle. The wireless coachlink though will send the signal wirelessly to the dash of your RV, to a monitor letting you know when the brakes are being applied. more

So a braking system simply put, is gonna be depressing the brakes in our vehicle here to help our motor home come to a nice, slow and smooth stop. Now, this is not only a safety concern. And this is what our Blue Ox Patriot looks like when it's installed. We can see here that this unit will have to be placed on the floor every time that you go to flat tow.
